Cameron Donald broke a collarbone at the North West 200 |
Australian Cameron Donald has signed to ride for Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing for the 2008 season. He will compete for the Moneymore-based outfit run by Hector and Phillip Neill at the North West 200, Isle of Man TT and Ulster Grand Prix.
The Melbourne ace will also turn out for the team in one of the British championship classes next term.
Donald has made a big impact on road racing in recent years in partnership with the Uel Duncan Honda Racing team.
He has accumulated numerous national road race wins but has still to secure his first international success.
The 28-year-old missed this year's centenary Isle of Man TT races because of injury.
"I am fortunate to be coming on board with the best team in the paddock," Donald told the BBC.
"They are a very professional team and I have had to look at their bikes ahead of me a few times this season so I'm looking forward to being on one next season."
Team manager Phillip Neill said he had been "keeping an eye on Cameron since he came to Ireland".
"We are always on the lookout for new talent and Cameron is good on both roads and circuits so he is exactly what we are looking for."
Donald is almost certain to be partnered by New Zealander Bruce Anstey for the three major road races.
