NI riders aim for Mondello wins
Jonathan Rea
Jonathan Rea is still looking for his first British Superbike win
Jonathan Rea, Michael Laverty and Ian Lowry offer hope of local success at this weekend's sixth round of British championship races at Mondello Park.

Rea lies third in the British Superbike series behind leader, team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari and Gregorio Lavilla and hopes for his first ever win in the class.

Marty Nutt leads the Northern Ireland challenge in the Superbike Cup races.

Relentless TAS Suzuki's Michael Laverty leads the Supersport class and Ian Lowry is second and won last time out.

The Lisburn rider took his first victory in the last round at Snetterton and will be out to repeat that success as he lies 21 points behind Laverty in the standings.

There are two British Superstock races in this round and John Laverty will hope to improve on his current seventh place position in that championship.

Adrian Coates, Alastair Seeley and Marshall Neill are also set to be on the grid for those events.

Glengormley teenager Nikki Coates continues his efforts in the 125cc class, having finished fourth on two occasions this season.
