 Eugene Laverty secured two championship points in Jerez |
Toomebridge rider Eugene Laverty finished 17th in Sunday's Turkish 250cc grand prix in Istanbul. The LCR Honda rider had qualified in 21st position as he attempted to build on his 18th place finish in Qatar and a 14th place in Jerez in Spain. Italian Andrea Dovizioso won Sunday's race from Spain's Jorge Lorenzo with Alvaro Bautista finishing third. The next race in the series is the Grand Prix of China in Shanghai in two weeks' time.
