Ryan Farquhar will be riding for the MSS Discovery team |
Ryan Farquhar will give his new team an airing when all the big noises open up the road-racing season at the Cookstown 100 on 30 April. Farquhar will be on the factory-backed MSS Discovery Kawasaki and looking forward to an event that he missed last year because of a wrist injury.
"After missing out last year, I'm more determined than ever to put on a good show," said the 29-year-old Farquhar.
"Mind you it's not going to be easy because all my main rivals are racing."
One of those rivals to the current Irish Racer of the Year, is Darren Lindsay who was a triple winner at last year's event, but has not ridden since a crash at Monaghan.
"I'm still recovering from that crash," said Lindsay. "There's good movement with the wrist and I'll be happy enough on the smaller bikes but I may struggle on the bigger ones."
Also signed up for the event are Adrian Archibald, Richard Britton and New Zealander Bruce Anstey.
All told there will be 13 events at the day-long event with 10,000 prize money on offer.
