 McWilliams' Superbike struggles continued |
Antrim rider Adrian Coates won the British Superstock race in Sunday's meeting at Thruxton. Ryan Rainey was next best of the local competitors in seventh, with Denver Robb 20th and Marshall Neill 22nd.
Jeremy McWilliams crashed out on the opening lap of the first Superbike race. Michael Laverty was 15th with Jonathan Rea a further place back.
In the second Superbike race, McWilliams finished ninth with Rea 12th, Laverty 17th and Marty Nutt 21st.
McWilliams' early crash in the first race was caused by a tyre falling off his bike.
Japanese rider Ryuichi Kiyonari maintained his domination of the Superbike Championship by winning both second round races.
There was disappointment for Eugene Laverty after he was forced out of the Supersport race after two laps.
Laverty was involved in a crash which also took out Rob Frost.
After the incident, a furious Frost squared up to Laverty.
