Byrne deputised for Bayliss in two races this season |
Kent's Shane Byrne will not ride for Camel Honda in the MotoGP season finale in Valencia on Sunday. The 28-year-old former British Superbike champion had replaced the injured Troy Bayliss for Honda in Malaysia and Qatar last month.
He made his MotoGP debut in 2004 on an uncompetitive Aprilia, before an even tougher stint with Proton KR this year.
Byrne had high hopes of ending 2005 on a factory bike, but Camel Honda have opted for Japan's Ryuichi Kiyonari.
