Another year of frustration for Shane Byrne ended in him returning to returning to British Superbikes.

When Team KR split from manufacturers KTM halfway through a problem plagued season, he was left without a ride.

Camel Honda offered him a lifeline covering for the injured Troy Bayliss in Malayasia and Qatar, but it turned out to be a short-term deal.

When Rizla Suzuki came in, Byrne was more than glad to have the chance to be a competitive racer once again.
