Toseland signs to race for Honda
James Toseland holds aloft the World SBK trophy
James Toseland won the World Superbike Championship in 2004
Former World Superbike champion James Toseland has signed to race for the Ten Kate Honda team next season.

The Sheffield rider, who won the title in 2004 on a works Ducati, was sacked by the Ducati Xerox team after failing to retain the title this year.

Toseland, who finished fourth in 2005, was replaced by former world champion Troy Bayliss at the end of the season.

However, the 25-year-old has now been confirmed as a Honda rider, replacing the MotoGP-bound Chris Vermeulen.
