Adrian Archibald has submitted a late entry for the Macau Grand Prix, which will take place from 17-20 November. The Ballymoney rider will compete for his new team, AIM Yamaha, on the machine which took John McGuinness to victory at the Isle of Man TT in June.
Archibald will be making only his second appearance at the Far East circuit, having failed to finish while riding a Honda in 2001.
Martin Finnegan, Stephen Thompson and Keith Stewart will also race at Macau.
Archibald, who will be partnered by Scot Les Shand, said the opportunity was too good to miss.
"The event gives me a good chance to get used to the R1 Yamaha after a lot of time on the Suzukis, and I'm really looking forward to it."
