Petronas hand Notman big chance
Steve Martin
Steve Martin has a new team-mate for the final round in France
Andy Notman is keen to make the most of his call-up to the Foggy Petronas team in the final round of the World Superbike Championship at Magny-Cours.

The 26-year-old will replace Garry McCoy who was injured at Imola.

The former world endurance champion will ride the Petronas FP1 alongside Australian team-mate Steve Martin.

"It's a great opportunity for me, but I don't want to throw that opportunity away by pushing too hard early on," Notman said.

"Some people think Magny-Cours is a stop-start circuit, but I really like it, having competed here in the 24-hour endurance race.

"The fact that I have tested the Petronas FP1 will help, because the first couple of sessions will not be wasted on settings like rider position.

"I will be aiming to get in the points come Sunday."
