James Toseland will stay with Italian manufacturer Ducati to defend his World Superbike crown next season. The 23-year-old Sheffield rider said: "I'm hoping that our relationship will continue to be as successful.
"I learned an awful lot last year and I feel confident about retaining the title. I can't wait to get started."
Toseland will be part of an unchanged line-up at Ducati Corse with Frenchman Regis Laconi, who lost the title to the Briton at this year's final round.
Laconi said: "I'm very happy to be confirmed by Ducati, and next year I will try and win the championship for sure.
"I came very close this year but unfortunately I made some mistakes, even though I was nearly always the quickest rider out on the track."
A third Ducati 999 will also be raced in World Superbikes by the young Italian Lorenzo Lanzi.
The 23-year-old from Cesena finished fifth overall in World Supersport last season and will ride a 999RS for a satellite team in 2005.
Ducati are also to field Britain's 2003 World Superbike champion Neil Hodgson alongside Eric Bostrom in the Parts Unlimited Ducati Austin team in the American Superbike Championship.
