Nick Heidfeld, Renault's 2011 replacement for injured the Robert Kubica, came close to replacing Vitaly Petrov as the team's second driver this winter, claims the German. "During the 2010 season I talked with the people in charge of the team about coming here for 2011," he said. "I know them very well."
