Scot Paul di Resta is hopeful of landing a race seat with Force India in 2011 after clinching the DTM (German Touring Car) title on Sunday. "Obviously I'm hoping I can get a seat there and we can build a long relationship," said the man who has been Force India's reserve driver in 2010.

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo says he is anxious that the new-for-2011 adjustable rear wing does not prove to be a repeat of 2009's double diffuser controversy, and hopes the rules are "totally clear".

There could be two Russians on the F1 grid in 2011 - Vitaly Petrov is looking increasingly likely to be retained by Renault and Renault World Series champion Mikhail Aleshin has told Russian news website gzt.ru that he has agreed a deal with an unnamed team. He has been linked to Force India, Lotus and Virgin.

Mark Webber is back in his home country Australia and took part in a demonstration of a Red Bull F1 car at Waneroo near Perth at the weekend. "I raced at the Wanneroo Raceway in 1994," Webber said. "It's always been part of the racing scene here. It wasn't a five minute job to get an event like this arranged, so well done to everyone involved."

Seven-time world rally champion Sebastian Loeb has given up his ambition to drive in Formula 1 in the future after being refused a licence to drive for Toro Rosso at the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. "If I had a chance to drive for fun, I would certainly do it with pleasure, but I don't think I will compete in a race," the Frenchman said.
