Williams put car through its paces The Williams Formula 1 team have been testing in Gloucestershire ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend. In an effort to shave valuable seconds off their lap times, the engineers have been trialling a new front wing at Cotswold Airport, near Cirencester. "These modifications have been made in the wind tunnel," track engineer Tom McCullough told BBC Points West. "They've shown to give a good increase[in speed] so they'll be going into the next race." Cotswold Airport is one of the few FIA-approved test tracks and has already seen Force India and Brawn GP on its runways this season. Williams test driver Nico Hulkenberg was behind the wheel of the car as it reached speeds of up to 150mph. "Basically we were running up and down the runway mainly so the engineers can get data on their laptops. "From a racing driver's point of view it's not so exciting as there are no corners," added the 22-year-old German. Williams currently lie sixth in the constructors' world championship with two races left in the F1 calendar.
