Schumacher still has his sights on an eighth world crown |
Ferrari's Michael Schumacher is still confident he can overhaul championship leader Fernando Alonso and claim a record eighth world title this season. Schumacher is 12 points adrift of the Spaniard with four races to go after finishing behind team-mate Felipe Massa and Alonso at the Turkish Grand Prix.
"I've lost two points here but believe I can win the title," Schumacher said.
"Felipe and myself are very strong and if we can maintain that we could both be in front."

Alonso's second place in Istanbul ended a run of four races where Schumacher had steadily reduced the Spaniard's lead from 25 points.
However, Ferrari's performance did close the gap on Renault in the constructors' championship to just two points.
The team's technical director Ross Brawn said: "All the elements are in place for us to win both titles.
"We will fight right to the very end to achieve that and remain confident."
In reality, every race counts now for Ferrari and much will be expected at the team's home Grand Prix in Italy on 10 September.
Ferrari's three-year winning streak at Monza was ended by Juan Pablo Montoya last season but team boss Jean Todt is optimistic.
"In Monza, and at the three races outside Europe, we will have many changes on the car," said Todt.
"We will be in the best possible shape to try and win both championships."
