Button happy with new tyre rule
Jenson Button
Button finished third in last year's standings
Jenson Button believes he will benefit from the new Formula One rule that says one set of tyres must last throughout qualifying and the race.

The rule, to be introduced in 2005, should help smoother drivers such as the BAR driver.

The Englishman said: "If you've looked after your tyres it's going to be a lot easier to overtake people.

"That's one area where I feel I have an advantage because my driving has always been smooth."

Button added: "Normally you'd be pushing at 100% in the whole race, but you are not going be able to do that.

Michael Schumacher should definitely be more worried about us this year

"I'm sure some people will change their technique. But I don't think I will have to."

The 25-year-old also believes he and BAR are ready to break their winning duck in 2005.

"Michael Schumacher should definitely be more worried about us this year.

"We've made a good step forward with the car, we've pushed it as close to the limit as we can.

"So we'll be very disappointed if we don't get a win this year."
