Sweden's Bjorn Wirdheim has pulled out of the race to claim a drive with the new Red Bull team for the 2005 season.

Wirdheim, who tested for Jaguar last season, had been expected to take part in Red Bull's first test in Barcelona.

However, Wirdheim has left the team a month before his contract expires and could move to America in either the Champ Cars or Indy Racing League.

"I wish him the best of luck in the future," said Red Bull managing director David Pitchforth.

"I would like to thank Bjorn for all of his help and support for the team over the last year."
