Montoya has only finished on the podium twice this season |
Juan Pablo Montoya insists the Williams team can get their season back on track at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix. The Colombian expects the high-speed Montreal circuit to play to the strengths of the Williams car without exposing its weaknesses.
"The Canadian track requires a lot of power and minimal (aerodynamic) downforce but the BMW engine is good so we should do well," said Montoya.
"I'm looking forward to it as there are also good overtaking opportunities."
Williams finished runners-up in the 2003 constructors' race last season but seven races in this season they find themselves back in fourth.

The design of the FW26 car has failed to give Montoya and team-mate Ralf Schumacher the competitive edge on the track. But after a week testing out several new technical developments in Silverstone and Monza, Schumacher believes the team can hit peak form.
"I'm convinced that we have made a step forward," said Schumacher.
"I am not going to let our difficult start to the season get in the way of future races because you always have to look forward.
"I like the Montreal circuit but I am now thinking on a race-by-race basis."
