Juan Pablo Montoya said there is nothing wrong with the way Williams have begun the Formula One season. The Colombian is seeking his first win of 2004, with world champion Michael Schumacher taking the first three races from pole position for Ferrari.
But Montoya is adamant everything is in place for Williams to compete.
"Our car is not uncompetitive. We were second in Malaysia and finished in the points in Australia so the car is good," said the 28-year-old.
"But at the moment it is not yet a winning machine. Let's hope that changes soon.
"We cannot focus our racing just on what Ferrari can do. We've got to focus our racing on what we are doing and how we can make it happen.
"We cannot make Ferrari go any slower. All we can do is to ensure sure that we do the best job with what we have got."
Montoya is set to join McLaren at the end of this season.
