McLaren ready for new car
McLaren technical director Adrian Newey
McLaren have scored only five points in five races this season
McLaren could have their new car ready within four weeks.

The team, who have not won a race since March last year, are hoping that the new vehicle will reverse their dismal run of form.

Technical director Adrian Newey said the new car will have virtually the same mechanical components but the bodywork will be heavily revised.

"In terms of when it will be out, we expect somewhere between two and four weeks," he said.

"Obviously it is all depending on the race bits, and maybe a 50-km shakedown at three weeks if we don't make the two-week schedule.

"In terms of lap time benefit, the simulation says it should be significant."
