Schumacher is looking for another Monaco revival |
Ralf Schumacher admits he will need a "little miracle" to grab his first win of the season in the Monaco Grand Prix. The Williams-BMW driver, who took pole in Monaco last year when team-mate Juan Pablo Montoya claimed victory, has had a poor Formula One campaign so far.
"Last year this GP was the turning point of what had been a disappointing start to the season," said the German.
"At the moment we are far away from (challenging for the title), but I'd like to believe in a little miracle."
Schumacher added: "Looking at it realistically, we are not going to be fighting for victory unless other teams do not perform at their best."
Montoya put his win last season right up there with the greatest triumph of his career so far.
The Colombian won the Indianapolis 500 in 2000 to make himself a household name in the United States.
That helped convince Williams to bring him into Formula One, where he took his first Monaco win last season.
Montoya said: "A win in Monaco is very special, there is nothing comparable in Formula One. Winning the Indy 500 compares to winning here."
