Barrichello has signed a two-year contract extension |
Ferrari boss Jean Todt has said that his team's main focus for the new season is their new car, which will be unveiled later this month. "Our main concern will not be how our competitors have improved but how competitive the new car is," he said.
Todt added that he was pleased Rubens Barrichello had signed a two-year contract extension this week.
"He did extraordinary work for the team last year and we never considered a younger driver to replace him."
Barrichello won two races last season, including the final one in Japan, which was crucial to Michael Schumacher's title victory.
Schumacher has also signed a new deal with the team which means both drivers will be there until 2006.
