Lowes also races for MSS Kawasaki in the British Superbike Championship |
Lincoln's Alex Lowes claimed a point on his World Superbike debut at Brno in the Czech Republic after finishing 15th in the opening race for Castrol Honda. But Lowes, deputising for the injured Jonathan Rea, failed to add to his tally after crashing out of race two. "The weekend was great," said Lowes. "I'm just really disappointed with the crash in the second race. "But before that, we'd made progress in every session and gone faster, even in the first race." Lowes, who races for MSS Kawasaki in the British Superbike Championship, is set to stand in for Rea at the next round of the series at Silverstone on 31 July. Meanwhile Alex's twin Sam finished sixth in the World Supersport race at Brno with fellow Briton Gino Rea claiming his maiden victory.
