Risager was released by Swindon at the end of the 2010 season |
King's Lynn Stars have continued to build their side ahead of their Elite League return with the additions of Sam Masters and Morten Risager. Australian Masters, 19, will double up with Premier League Somerset Rebels and will share the number six position with Lasse Bjerre. While 23-year-old Dane Risager will share the five slot with Tomas Topinka. Risager will double up with Ipswich Witches, who took voluntary relegation to the Premier League last month. After starting his British career with Coventry aged 16 Risager went on to ride for Swindon, Eastbourne, Peterborough and Belle Vue. He said: "Racing in the Premier League will keep me sharp and focused, and with the benefit of knowing all the Elite League tracks I am sure I will do a great job for the team whenever I am given the opportunity to." | Sam is a very talented rider... Masters collected an impressive 258 points from 32 official meetings in his debut season in Britain with the Rebels last season, averaging 7.17. Team boss Rob Lyon added: "Sam is a very talented rider and last season he beat Tomas, Olly [Allen] and Lasse around King's Lynn. "He is a great option to have at reserve and is definitely one to watch over the season, I am sure that the fans will make him feel very welcome." The Stars only have to fill the number seven position before their line-up is complete.
