Wolverhampton's Grand Prix star Tai Woffinden is keen to stay with the club for as long as possible. The Great Britain international skippered Wolves in his second season at Monmore Green, and says he feels settled in the Black Country. "I'd be happy to ride here until I finish my career if they're happy to keep me," Woffinden, 20, told BBC WM. "Just being looked after by the club is a big thing - there's no gossiping, no behind-the-scenes stuff, nothing." The Scunthorpe-born rider found the going tough in 2010, competing in three leagues around Europe and taking part in the full Grand Prix circuit - all that after a winter during which he lost his influential father Rob to cancer. | It was probably too early for me to get on the (Grand Prix) circuit |
Even so, he has few regrets about rubbing shoulders with the sport's elite riders. "The experience was massive really, I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot of things. "But on the other hand I was disappointed with how the season went as a whole. It was probably too early for me to get onto the circuit, so I learned the hard way."
