Eastbourne Eagles co-promoter Mike Bellerby is confident that his side can upset Poole and win the Elite League Knockout Cup. The Eagles beat the Pirates 49-41 in the first leg on Arlington Stadium on Saturday to take a slender lead into Wednesday's return fixture. Bellerby told BBC Sussex: "If we ride like we know we can we could come away with the cup. "There's no reason why we can't go down to Poole and get a great result." Despite heavy away losses to the Pirates in the league this year the Eagles cite their stunning semi-final win over Wolverhampton as inspiration for the final. "Nobody expected us to beat Wolverhampton, so we're quite capable of winning at Poole," said Bellerby. "We did well to come away with an eight point lead, and hopefully that's going to be enough for the second-leg," added rider Joonas Kylmäkorpi.
