Elite League side Lakeside Hammers have secured the signature of highly rated youngster Marc Owen.

The 16-year-old will continue to ride for National League side Rye House Cobras in preparation for a future career with the Hammers.

Lakeside boss Jon Cook told the club website: "Marc is a big rising star of the National League, destined for an exciting future in the sport.

"He has been earning rave reviews at Rye House this season."

He added: "We have beaten a host of other clubs to his signature.

"This is a very big feather in the club's cap and I believe Marc will start to feature in the main team towards the middle of next season."
