Belle Vue Aces recorded a 48-44 victory over Poole Pirates to keep their slim play-off hopes alive. Aces were without injured captain Hans Andersen but veteran Swedish rider Peter Karlsson scored 14 points. Team boss Chris Morton said: "We would have liked all three league points for winning by seven or more. "But there is always the chance you can lose all three against a team like Poole so to come away with the win and two points was not disappointing."
