Peterborough Panthers assistant team boss Wayne Swales is looking to move up to third place in the table after a convincing win over Wolverhampton. The Panthers blew away the Wolves 57-35 at Alwalton to push them up to fourth in the Elite League. Swales told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We've got our sights on the play-offs, third would be a bonus. "What we need to do is to dig in and get some away points in the bag, and then we will have an advantage." The victory was sealed, in part, by Niels-Kristian Iversen's 13-point haul, with the Dane showing little sign of the effects of a recent shoulder injury. | You can't take things for granted but as a team performance it was fantastic |
"It was a great team performance," Swales added. "Wolverhampton are no easy team, that's why they're second in the league. "You can't take things for granted but as a team performance it was fantastic." The upcoming World Cup means the Panthers now have two weeks off before heading to Swindon on 5 August.
