Coventry Bees ended their three-meeting winless run with a 51-41 league victory over Lakeside Hammers at Brandon. Richard Sweetman and skipper Chris Harris joint top scored with paid 12s for the hosts, while the Bees' reserves were busy covering for Lewis Bridger. Bridger crashed out in heat one and was forced to withdraw from the meeting after sustaining a knock to his head. Adam Shields bagged 15 points for the beaten visitors, with former Coventry rider Rory Schlein also notching up 14.
