Mark Miller lapped the Mountain Course at 94.664mph at Monday's practice |
Portland-based Moto Czysz will start Wednesday's TT Zero electric bike race as favourites after setting an unofficial lap record in practice. Mark Miller's 94.664mph lap is almost two minutes faster than Rob Barbers' race record and some three minutes faster than their nearest rival. Team boss Michael Czysz said: "I'm really confident with the bike and we won't touch it again before the race." Ten teams will participate in Wednesday's one-lap race. In 2009, Barber made TT history by winning the first ever zero-emission race for Team Agni. Barber's winning time was clocked at 87.434mph. This year there is a £10,000 prize for the first team to lap at 100mph. Czysz added: "I firmly believe that the bike is capable of achieving the 100mph lap but everything will have to go right on the day.
