Drury's Brummies have made a very bright start to the season |
Birmingham will gear up for their first major assault on silverware this season with crucial away matches in the Premier Trophy on successive nights. First, the Brummies visit Redcar on Thursday night, followed by a fixture at Scunthorpe just 24 hours later. "Redcar will be tough - they've had strong words from their management after a poor start," said Birmingham team manager Graham Drury. "They're going to be dangerous and we can't take them for granted," he added. "I'd like to think we can gain more than just the two bonus points for losing narrowly. We have to be positive and believe we can go to both places and come away with positive results." Chris Kerr returns to the Brummies ranks after a strong Elite League outing for Wolves against Belle Vue in midweek.
