Loram has won the world speedway title in 2000 |
Former world speedway champion Mark Loram has announced his retirement from the sport after failing to fully recover from leg and thigh injuries. Loram, who turns 39 next month, said age was also a factor having had two years out of speedway. "It's the hardest decision I've ever had to make, that's why it's taken so long to make it," he told BBC Suffolk. Loram rode for 10 British clubs including Ipswich, Wolverhampton, Poole, Peterborough and Arena Essex.
