Swindon Robins have signed Grzegorz Zengota for the 2010 season. The 21-year-old Polish rider joins on an assessed 5.00 average in what will be his first Elite League campaign. Zengota was part of the Polish Under-21 squad that won at the Team Speedway Junior World Championship two years running in 2008 and 2009. Swindon manager Alun Rossiter said: "Grzegorz's individual performances and Polish League scores mean his acquisition is hugely exciting." He added: "Grzegorz is one of the most highly-rated Polish youngsters and I'm sure Swindon fans will be thrilled that he'll be riding at Blunsdon in 2010. "He is used to the highest level of racing, having ridden in Poland's top league and been amongst some very competitive junior events." The Polish rider made his speedway debut in 2004 and has spent his Polish League career with Zielona Gora. Zengota also picked up an 8-point tally in the 2009 World Under-21 Championship, which earned him seventh place.
