Poole Pirates have installed Davey Watt as captain after bringing him back to the club following a loan spell at Eastbourne Eagles.

The Australian first rode for Poole in 2003 and has won a title every year he has ridden for the Dorset club.

He becomes their fourth signing ahead of the new season.

Promoter Matt Ford said: "I have every confidence in Davey's ability to lead our efforts to regain the Elite League championship title."
