Wolverhampton have made teenage British rider Joe Haines their second signing for the 2010 season.

He will join Australian Ty Proctor in the Wolves line-up as they try to retain their Elite League title.

Although Haines will spend next year on loan with King's Lynn in the Premier League, he will double up as one of the reserves at Monmore Green.

"Joe's ready to make the next step in his career, he's got bags of ability," said club owner Chris van Straaten.

"Doubling-up for us is the way forward, and I'm pleased to see him continuing his development at King's Lynn."

Wolves are believed to be in negotiations to retain the services of heat leader Freddie Lindgren, the rider who topped the 2009 Elite League averages.

The Swede's younger brother Ludvig has also been linked with a move to Monmore Green after spending last season with the Birmingham Brummies.
