Brummies can cause upset - Drury

Birmingham Brummies
The Brummies could need a double-figure lead from the home leg

Birmingham Brummies promoter Graham Drury is challenging his team to surprise regular season champions King's Lynn in the play-offs.

The Brummies host the Norfolk club at Perry Barr in the first leg of the semi-final on Wednesday night.

"It's vital for us to win the home leg, and win it well," Drury said.

Birmingham bring in Mark Lemon for Tomasz Piszcz who has been banned from riding in England again this season by the Polish Federation.

King's Lynn also need a guest rider with Wolves reserve Ty Proctor stepping in for the injured Tomas Topinka.

I would point to our excellent win against them in the league - we need more of the same

The champions earned the right to choose their semi-final opponents, and they opted to face a Brummies team that has improved steadily throughout the season.

"I know King's Lynn picked us because they have a good record around Perry Barr," Drury noted.

"But I would point to our excellent win against them when we met in the league, and we need more of the same."

And the Brummies boss has targeted a double figure advantage from the first leg ahead of the trip to Norfolk on 14 October.
