Peter Karlsson
Karlsson was injured in the 11th heat at Monmore

Wolves Speedway boss Peter Adams insists their Elite League play-off semi-final is not over despite Monday's first leg win against Lakeside Hammers.

Adams' team are strong favourites to make the final following their 56-40 victory at Monmore.

But skipper Peter Karlsson will miss Monday's return leg after breaking his collarbone during the meeting.

Adams told the club website: "This tie isn't over, there's a long way to go. Anything can happen in the play-offs."

In addition to the 16-point deficit Wolves opened up in the first leg they have an additional four-point advantage awarded for finishing second in the league.
