Lowestoft-based Team Lings won the 225 hp class

The Honda Formula 4-stroke Powerboat series came to a dramatic climax in glorious sunshine on the Isle of Man on Sunday.

In one of the closest series in the competition's history both Team Lings and Premier Cru won their classes by just one point.

Press officer Brian Wheeler said Douglas Bay provided a fitting finale.

"Douglas Bay is a natural amphitheatre for Power Boat racing and the weather has been absolutely fantastic.

"It's been absolutely compelling, the closest fought championship in the event's history."
