Dunlop chalks up Scarborough wins

William Dunlop has enjoyed a successful 2009 season

William Dunlop secured a 250cc win and two 125cc successes, plus two second-place finishes, at the Scarborough Gold Cup races in England over the weekend.

Ryan Farquhar won Saturday's Superbike race and Michael Pearson won a 600cc event while Michael Dunlop enjoyed a number of top-six finishes.

Guy Martin won the feature race after misfortune struck the local riders.

Michael Pearson sustained an ankle injury in a crash and Michael Dunlop and Ryan Farquhar collided unhurt.

Farquhar went out in the re-run of the race on a screenless Kawasaki but pulled in after a few laps with a loose clip-on.

Dromore-based Welshman Ian Lougher had a good weekend, winning 125cc race, a 250cc event and a 600cc outing.

Ian Hutchinson won a Superbike race.
