Northampton's Maria Costello says she would dearly like to regain her record as the fastest women to lap the Isle of Man Mountain Course.
The 31-year-old racer who has recently been awarded an MBE for her services to the sport told BBC Isle of Man:
"Ultimately I love riding fast on motorbikes and the Isle of Man is the place to do it.
"Racing is my life and I would love to take back my record. It was my greatest achievement and I want it back."
Costello's record was broken in this year's TT races by Jenny Tinmouth.
Costello said of the honour: "I'm blown away by it, it's great for motorcycling, it's great for women in motorcycling and it's great for women in sport.
To be recognised in this way is extraordinary."
Costello will have the honour bestowed upon her at Buckingham Palace in November.
