 Alastair Seeley has dominated the British Superstock Championship |
Alastair Seeley extended his winning run in the British Superstock series by taking victory in Sunday's eighth round of the championship at Brands Hatch. Seeley came home 5.5 seconds ahead of Steve Brogan in the 1000cc race which was reduced from 12 to eight laps. The Carrickfergus rider has a maximum 200 points from eight races, 53 ahead of Brogan, with five races still to go. John Laverty was seventh in the first of the weekend's Superbike races but was fifth in the third race on Sunday. The Toomebridge Buildbase Kawasaki rider had taken 13th place in race two. Relentless TAS Suzuki rider Ian Lowry was 12th in the first and second Superbike races but improved to secure ninth in the third race. Magherafelt rider Paul Jordan was 12th in the 125cc event while in the Junior 600cc Superstock, Jamie Hamilton was fourth and Nikki Coates fifth. Hamilton leads his championship on 125 points, 32 ahead of his nearest challenger. Lee Johnston and Marty Nutt failed to finish the Supersport event.
