King's Lynn Stars eased their way into speedway's Premier Trophy final after overturning a 12-point deficit from their first leg with Workington. Kozza Smith was the hero for the Stars as they beat the Comets 58-35 in the second leg on Wednesday. The Australian was unbeaten in his first five races but lost to former Lynn favourite Kevin Doolan in the final heat of the night. The Stars will face either Edinburgh or Scunthorpe in the final. Peterborough Panthers team manager Trevor Swales was standing in for Stars boss Rob Lyon and was full of praise for the team.  | It was a good team performance all round. "The boys are terrific to get on with and they've got a great setup here. All the boys did well even though some of them were nursing injuries, " he told BBC Radio Norfolk. The Stars were without Darcy Ward who is out of action with a fractured ankle. But captain Tomas Topinka said the other riders had a great meeting. "It was a good team performance all round. Everyone rode to their potential today and Kozza rode above his potential," he said. King's Lynn overhauled the 12-point deficit in the eighth heat and the final aggregate score was King's Lynn 97-86 Workington.
