Michael Dunlop was fastest in Supersport practice on the island

Michael Dunlop will hope to make up for the disappointment of retiring in the first Supersport race when he competes in the second 600cc race on Wednesday.

Dunlop was fastest in practice for the class but retired early on the first lap with a blown engine at Union Mills.

Bruce Anstey looked set to win but when he retired on the final lap, Ian Hutchinson took advantage to win.

Ryan Farquhar was best of the locals in sixth and he will hope for another good finish on his Kawasaki.

Keith Amor, Steve Plater and John McGuinnes should also be in contention.
