Adam Carroll was forced out on the first lap of the feature race in Sunday's South African round of the A1GP series in Kyalami. The Team Ireland driver had led the led the championship going into the South Africa round and was unhappy after colliding with Malaysia's Fairuz Fauzy. "He just hit me in the back right corner. I'm really annoyed with it, I'm pretty angry about it," said Carroll. Switzerland now top the standings with 73 points, ahead of Ireland on 70. Portugal occupy third position on 64 points. Neel Jani took the Swiss to the top of the championship with victory in the feature race. The experienced driver took control of the race at the pit stop and was never headed at that point. Earlier in the day, Carroll took fourth in the sprint race. Starting sixth on the grid, the 26-year-old improved to fifth on lap one and managed to overtake Monaco on the final circuit of the race.
