Manxman Mark Higgins has lost his first place at last month's International Rally Yorkshire following the reinstatement of Guy Wilks as winner.

Wilks had been stripped of his win after Higgins' Atlas TEG Sport team lodged a successful complaint against Wilks straight after the race.

But British rally championship organisers have now thrown the case out on a technicality.

They say TEG cannot protest as they do not hold 'a valid Entrants Licence'.
