Walker's hopes of a good finish were dashed by a puncture |
Jersey racing driver James Walker experienced more bad luck in the World Series by Renault at the Nurburgring. After finishing in the top three in testing his high hopes were dashed after a double puncture in Sunday's first race when he was in tenth place. It meant he started race two from 23rd on the grid, and despite driving well to climb to 14th, finished without any championship points. "I'm pleased we have another race meeting next weekend," he said. "It means I can quickly put the nightmares of the Nurburgring behind me." He heads off to France for the next two races at Le Mans in 15th place in the championship standings.
