Renault World Series is equivalent to Formula 3000 |
Jersey's James Walker is hoping for a podium finish in the season's second Renault World Series race this weekend. After bagging points in both races last week at his 'bogey track' Monza, he is looking forward to racing on one of his favourite circuits, Spa in Belgium. He told BBC Radio Jersey: "I'm extremely confident, especially after the start we had last week. "I think if we're quick enough in the test then a podium is on, and that's what I'm going to be pushing for." He said he was aiming to qualify in the new superpole session, which will guarantee him a top eight start in both of the weekend's races. "I think if we can do that then points in both races is our next challenge," he explained. "Last year we were very fast in Spa."
