 Carroll came fourth in race one on Saturday |
Northern Ireland's Adam Carroll could only finish sixth in the second GP2 Series race of the weekend in France. The Super Nova driver lost further ground on championship leader Heikki Kovalainen in a difficult race.
Finn Kovalainen, part of Renault's driver development programme, fought his way through the field to take third place and extend his overall lead.
Nico Rosberg, son of former world champion Keke, won the race from Hiroki Yoshimoto of Japan.
Mathias Lauda was down in 15th with Nelson Piquet Jr 18th while Scot Ryan Sharp retired his DPR car after six laps.
Carroll took fourth in race one on Saturday.
