Dan Eaves became the first driver in British Touring Car Championship history to claim three wins in a day when he won the final race at Thruxton. The Honda driver overtook Luke Hines and Colin Turkington in one manouevre to take a lead he never relinquished.
Earlier in the day, Eaves had passed Seat's Jason Plato on lap 12 to triumph in the first race and charged from pole for his second win of the day.
The 29-year-old leads the drivers' standings from team-mate Matt Neal.
Neal was dramatically overtaken in a sprint finish in race three by Vauxhall's Yvan Muller, who took third behind team-mate Turkington.
In race two, the situation was reversed with Neal finishing second after passing Muller in the late stages.
Former champion Plato had a disappointing day.
After his Seat was passed by Eaves' Honda in race one, he then collided with Muller in the next race and finished his day with a drive-through penalty when he had been leading the final race.
